Taon (pronounced “down”) is an eclectic band that promulgates the Law of Thelema. Taon is fusion-oriented in an alchemical sense, blending organic and synthetic elements into a cohesive lapis, a rebus embodied in spherical, expanding waveforms. Drawing lyrical influences from Thelema, various systems of ceremonial magick, tarot symbolism, and mythology, Taon seeks to make the esoteric accessible, disseminate philosophy through poetry, and ridicule all manifestations of the corporate slave mentality that permeates profane existence.
